About Author Kristen N. Bailey I dreamed of writing novels when I was little and still love story telling. My school published a one of my short stories when I was in the fourth grade, and I realized other people might like to read what I wrote. I saved up and bought my own typewriter and soon was tapping out books over summer break. I have several books out and I work as an editor and full time writer.

I'm currently looking for an agent for my women's fiction novel and also submitting a romance to publishers. I live in the beautiful Umpqua Valley in Central Oregon. I set all my books here because I love it so much. We enjoy camping, cycling, and trips to places throughout our region including the coast and mountains. The kid in me loves celebrations of any kind and exploring in the forest. This fish picture shows one of the many reasons I love living here! (Summer steelhead caught in early fall) My love of fishing extended into my writing world - I'm on staff along with Lem James to edit Kype Magazine, a great resource about salmon, trout and steelhead fishing.
